Mal Woodcock ATP, DPE, Master CFI        Chief Flight Instructor

Mal first started flying gliders in England in 1990. He later trained at the Ocean Springs Airport where he gained all his airplane certificates and ratings. 

In January 2007 Mal was appointed as a FAA Designated Pilot Examiner. He is authorized to administer Recreational, Private and Commercial Pilot check rides, as well as Instrument Rating (single engine airplane) check rides. In February 2005, Mal earned his initial Master CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) becoming the first ever Master Fight Instructor in Mississippi. To help put this achievement in its proper perspective, there are approximately 88,000 CFI's in the United States. Fewer than 500 of them have earned the Master designation thus far.

He was renewed as a Master CFI in January 2007, and remains as Mississippi's only Master Flight Instructor.

He holds a FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor certificate and has logged over 4000 hours with over 2500 hours of instruction given. 

Member of the National Association of Flight Instructors, and serves as a FAA Aviation Safety Counselor for the Mississippi FSDO. A Captain in the USAF Aux and serves as the Wing Safety Officer for the Mississippi CAP.

Eric Nodland CFI, CFII, AGII       Assistant Chief CFI

Eric joined the team in May 2006 having graduated from Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Oklahoma. Not only an instructor and professional pilot, but also holds a Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic license.

On May 16th 2007, Eric received his promotion to Assistant Chief Flight Instructor. He also holds a FAA Gold Seal flight instructor certificate and has logged over 1600 hours flight time, with over 1000 hours of dual given.

Troy Million CFI, CFII

We are very pleased to welcome and introduce Troy who joined the team part time in December. He has a Masters Degree in Engineering and works full time as an engineer for Northrop Grumman. He has been flying since 1991 and has logged over 1800 hours with over 1100 hours of instruction given.
